3 tips on potty training

My most important advice is to not start the process because you feel pressured (by time, other parents, school or by yourself)!!

Start only when your child shows SIGNS OF READINESS – Physiologically, Emotionally and Cognitively!

3 tips:
  1. Potty training is closely linked to the acquisition of INDEPENDENCE & AUTONOMY – Encourage your child to do as many things as she can, on her own (before and during the process).

  2. Your child is THE MASTER OF HIS BODY – He chooses if he wants to let go of the nappy, and when to go to the bathroom, and therefore he is also in charge to clean up (with your help and guidance!).

  3. Stop telling your child time and again to go to the bathroom – Instead, create HEALTHY HABITS and “ANCHORS”, like going to the bathroom first thing in the morning, or just before going to bed and by being a role model.

Is it the right time to start?

How should I do it?

Why is this process much more than only about going to the toilet?

What am I not doing right?

And how can I repair if things are not going as planned…?
