It's not our job to make our kids happy....

It’s our job to hold space for them when they are sad, angry, frustrated or disappointed.

It’s our job to set limits, boundaries, and say “no” to some of their requests.

It’s our job to encourage them to look for things in life they are passionate about.

It’s our job to stop doing all they are capable of doing for themselves, even if it makes them very “unhappy”.

It’s our job to teach them how to rely on themselves for their own happiness.

It’s our job to teach them about happiness, by being happy ourselves.
