Just because she carries it well
Doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy….

To all the mothers out there, I just wanted to say that I SEE YOU.

I see the physical load on your backs - the food, the laundry, cleaning, buying groceries, or last minute school supplies, waking up before anyone else, leaving work early to fetch the kids, and catching up on work late at night…..


I also see the mental and emotional load, that weighs so heavy - advocating for your kid at school, plan playdates, make food everybody likes, be present in every whatsapp group regarding each one of the kids, welcoming them after a long day at school, when they are tired and having tantrums, making doctors’ appointments, and haircut appointments… And not being able to fall asleep at night because of all the worries: Has my child enough friends? Is she not falling behind at school? Does he need a private tutor? Maybe I should spend more time with her? Perhaps I should work less hours…

Those guilt feelings also weight tons on our backs….


To all the mothers out there, I just wanted to say that I see you, and YOU ARE AMAZING JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!!

There is absolutely not one and unique way to be a mother, so please let go of all the guilt feelings!


Try to ask for help, and to not carry the load all by yourself.

In your little time and energy that is left, do not forget to make yourself small gifts, and to practice some self-care.
